Photographs of Joaquim Font i Cussó’s collection

Joaquim Font i Cussó carried out the excavations  in Badalona in the thirties, in the area of Clos de la Torre. After the war, he didn’t excaved anymore. He was also interested in Sant Jeroni de la Murtra, He did research and published the result of his studies in different articles. Joaquim Font also collected a very interesting photographic collection from the city of Badalona and neighboring towns, some of them took by himself.

Now, after years, these pictures have become the witness of a city that has changed and evolutionated.

Nothing that appears in this gallery stills exist in 2019 or looks exactly the same. The description that appears in the photographs, is what Font i Cussó wrote down in the back.
