XX MAGNA CELEBRATIO
The XX Magna Celebratio, the Roman festival of Badalona, is here!
This year we celebrate the twentieth edition of our Roman festival, the Magna Celebratio, which we have been organizing by the Museum of Badalona since 2005, with the exception of 2020, when it did not take place due to Covid-19. On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the first Magna, this year’s edition will be special and will be dedicated, as it could not be otherwise, to celebrations.
We will discover the festivals that were celebrated in Roman times, most of them related to the calendar and the worship of the gods, but also the civil and family ceremonies, commemorative of great military feats or those organized in honor of rulers.
This will be, therefore, a festive Magna Celebratio that will lead us, as every year, to remember our Roman past, to visit, once again, the archaeological spaces of the Museum and to learn about the culture of Roman society up close with conferences, workshops, demonstrations and historical recreation shows that will fill the surroundings of the Museum with activity.
