The Roman city of Baetulo keeps growing. This Spring, once the musealisation works has been completed, we have inaugurated the House of the Ivy, a domus from the ending of the 1st century BC that will be added to the offer of visitable spaces from the Roman era offered by the Museum.
The house bears many similarities to the neighboring domus of the Dolphins, with a work area with wine tanks and several rooms distributed around an atrium. It also includes some singularities such as the oecus (summer dining room) of large proportions with original pavements of opus signinum tessellated or a section of the street (cardo maximus) that separated the two houses.
With the opening of this new space of more than 550 m2, Badalona will complete the musealisation of nearly 5,000 m2 of Roman city.
Limited capacity. Access to the house will be made progressively, depending on the capacity of the space. No reservations are made.
The performance of this activity is subject to possible changes arising from the health alert of COVID-19.
