The Roman city of Baetulo keeps growing. This April, once the musealisation works has been completed, we will inaugurate the House of the Ivy, a domus from the ending of the 1st century BC that will be added to the offer of visitable spaces from the Roman era offered by the Museum.
The house bears many similarities to the neighboring domus of the Dolphins, with a work area with wine tanks and several rooms distributed around an atrium. It also includes some singularities such as the oecus (summer dining room) of large proportions with original pavements of opus signinum tessellated or a section of the street (cardo maximus) that separated the two houses.
With the opening of this new space of more than 550 m2, Badalona will complete the musealisation of nearly 5,000 m2 of Roman city.
