The industrial occupation of the Badalona seafront area began in the mid-19th century with the arrival of the railway, and lasted until the end of the 20th century. At this time, a series of changes begin, gradual and profound at the same time, which will end up completely transforming its appearance and use until it became an almost unrecognizable area, very different from the time when the predominant factory buildings, with the smoke from the chimneys and the sound of the sirens that had so characterized it.
The exhibition will recall this industrial past, focusing on the period from the mid-19th century to the last quarter of the twentieth century. We’ll see objects, photographs, posters, plans and other documents that testify to the many forgotten factories that made Badalona a great production center.
