Rut Geli Mauri, head of the Center for Underwater Archeology of Catalonia, will reveal to us the secrets of underwater archeology and the importance of the discoveries that have been made in recent years around the Catalan coast. Each excavated wreck provides valuable information, both about the trade routes and about the different ceramic elements that were part of them: amphorae, tableware, oil lamps and even construction material.
The lecture will allow us to learn about some of the main wrecks studied on our coast.
The conference has been organized as part of the exhibition MUD AND FIRE. POTTERY IN BAETULO which can be seen for free at the Museum until Sunday 15 September and on the occasion of the celebration of the European Days of Archaeology.
