On the occasion of the celebration of the European Heritage Days, we invite you to a guided visit to one of the most important covered archaeological surfaces from the Roman period in the country: the Baths and Decumanus area of the Museum of Badalona.

The visit allows you to discover the 3,400 m2 of remains of the ancient Roman city of Baetulo, an exceptional complex both for its extension and for the spectacularity of some of the elements preserved there and the archaeological collection that exhibits there, in which pieces such as the Venus of Badalona, the marble oscillum or the Herma of the god Bacchus stand out.

The tour includes the city’s baths, from the first quarter of the 1st century BC, and some of the main streets of Baetulo, close to the forum. The archaeological site shows the city and the daily life of its inhabitants in the city’s heyday, in the time of Emperor Augustus (27 BC-14 AD), although there are also the remains of some later buildings.

The entire space is lit with a stage effect and set with elements of historical reconstruction and sound effects that transport us to ancient Baetulo and make us feel immersed there. The settlement also has tactile modules for the blind.

The activity is free, but you must register in advance on this page.

Maximum 4 tickets per person.
