This year marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of Joan Amigó i Barriga (Badalona 1875-1958). An architect qualified in 1900, he is a prominent representative of the late modernist school, and the greatest exponent of this style in Badalona, where he worked as municipal architect between 1914 and 1924.
To mark this anniversary, the Museum is dedicating an exhibition to him that will cover his biography, always linked to the social life of Badalona, and his work, which mainly includes residential buildings and factories, some of which are part of the city’s heritage protection catalogue.
