On occasion of the Year Xirgu, we will place a plaque dedicated to Margarida Xirgu on the facade of the house located at 118 Santa Madrona Street, in Badalona. The actress lived there from 1925 to January 31, 1936, when she went on tour to America. She could no longer return to Spain because of the outbreak of the Civil War and the subsequent Francoist dictatorship.
