Conference: Cattle farming at the beginning of medieval Catalonia. Perspective from archaeozoological studies. By Abel Gallego.
Until relatively recently, our knowledge of livestock management at the beginning of the Middle Ages in Catalonia was very limited, and was based on a few documents. Today, archeology and archaeozoology, to which Abel Gallego is dedicated, are providing us with new data relating to this subject, key information that brings us closer to a vision closer to the reality of what was the management of herds in this period straddling the end of the Roman Empire and the full Middle Ages in the north-east of the Iberian Peninsula.
Activity organized jointly with the Sant Jordi Medieval Festival Cultural Association of Badalona.
