The coastline in the eighties

Economic growth, technological evolution, population expansion, the project of the Olympic Games in Barcelona in 1992 … are the reasons behind the great change that took place in the Badalona coast during the eighties. It was a transformation that covered more than half of the almost five kilometers of coast of Badalona.

This gallery contains some slides from the collection of the City Council that preserves the Archive of Images of the Museum. These are photographs of an unknown author, taken in the 1980s – it seems in the second half – that show a shoreline today that is difficult to recognize.
