Venus
Venus
1st century ADLittle sculpture depicting Venus, goddess of beauty, love and fertility. It rests on the left leg and had slightly flexed the right knee. On the right thigh, what appears to be part of the tail of a fish is preserved, and on the shoulder, two flakes of hair. It is a very careful invoice and presents a soft molding, a clear product of a workshop, possibly italic, specialized in this type of pieces, inspired by the famous Venus de Cirene, although it is inclined to the opposite.
