Standard Public nursery school/Badalona City Council

1878-1906

Cream silk fabric banner with the Badalona coat of arms (pre-1914) embroidered on one side. On the other side, on a blue silk fabric, the words Escuela pública de párvulos are embroidered. The edges are finished with thread trimmings and gold-colored metallic fringes. At the top, some trim rings, allowing them to be hung from a bar.

Coming from the Párvulos Public School, when it was in the City Hall of Badalona.

In the attached photograph we can see this banner on March 4th, 1906, during the Festival of the Tree that was celebrated in the town, the central event of which was on Rosés hill. Local organizations and also children from public schools participated in the party (Germans Sayol/Museu de Badalona. Josep M Cuyàs Archive).
