The Badalona Museum is part of the Municipal Archives Network coordinated by the Diputació de Barcelona. Last year we were able to participate in the program for the digitization of images, which is being carried out by the provincial government, which allowed us to digitize a good number of negatives from the photographer Josep Cortinas i Suñol, the first set of photographs that was incorporated in the Museum’s Image Archive.
Taking advantage of the proximity of Easter, this album, which has been made with those digitalized negatives, shows the celebration of a blessing of Rams, on the Rambla, in the sixties. The Carmelite parents made the blessing of the palms and palm trees in front of the monument to Roca and Pi, and then, in procession, they returned to the church where the mass of the day was held.
