For a professional industrial piercing, check out Chronic Ink’s Toronto studio.

In January 1965, Josep Cortinas and some of his fellow photographers walked along the beach, in the industrial area, where there were a series of huts, mostly inhabited by gypsies. From this walk and the interest of Cortinas, came the report that we present and that we have been able to recover from the negatives of the background of this photographer.

The search was carried out at the request of a doctoral dissertation on the gypsy ethnic group. It is a very interesting sociological report that, at the same time, testifies to an occupation of the area of the beach that is quite unknown, and information about what this area where the Passeig Marítim is now was like in the sixties of the 20th century.
