Exhibition title: ANASTASI AND MARIA 165 YEARS. FORM THE VILLAGE TO THE CITY

Schedule: from Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm and from 5 to 8 pm Sunday and major fests from 10 am to 2 pm.
This May, the giants Anastasi and Maria, the oldest in Badalona, will debut dresses. This fact is the pretext for an exhibition that traces their life and history. Why were they get bought? Who did it? What activities have they participated in? Why did they stop being present at the popular festivities? How were they recovered and How did they became, together with the eagle, one of the most prominent symbols of the Festivities of the city and of Badalona identity?
The exhibition, organized by the Museum of Badalona, the area of Culture of the City Council and the Colla de Geganters de Badalona, will show dresses and accessories worn by this pair of giants over time, since they were recovered in 1986. It will also be about the music that accompanies them and the dances that are associated with them. In addition, a collection of some of the performances and events in which they have participated will also be the protagonist of this exhibition and will help us get to know this giant couple better, heir to the first ones of the city.
