The Agrupació Excursionista de Badalona, founded in 1925, was a very active entity in the cultural life of Badalona, to the point of carrying out archaeological interventions under the supervision of the Institute of Catalan Studies, and created the first Museum of the city, the predecessor of the current one, with such notable pieces as the Venus or the tabula hospitalis.
Closed in 1940 as a result of political repression, the Association continued a few years later in the Centre Excursionista de Badalona, which has also carried out significant cultural work beyond the strictly hiking activities.
Now, on the occasion of the centenary of the Association, the Museum is offering an exhibition focused mainly on the years before the Civil War, in which you can see photographic images, documents and also some pieces that were part of that Museum that the entity created in 1933.
