The port was not only a place for commercial exchange but also the first meeting place for people arriving from different parts of the Empire. A mestizo place where you could work, socialize, exchange and also have fun. There were people from all over and from different social strata: travelers, unloaders, traders, fishermen, sailors, curious, skippers, slaves… All of them populated the place, forming a human range that is worth getting to know.
The activity aims to bring them to life and show the diversity and bustle of a port in ancient Rome. And at the same time we will be able to see that we have not changed that much and we will find analogies between life yesterday and today. We will discover, at last, that the thread that connects the past and the present is not so thick, it is not so distant.
