In recent months, water has been one of the most important topics on the political agenda and also in social conversation. We are used to opening the tap and having water available for any use. However, this has not always been the case.

Digging through the several photographic funds that are preserved in the Image Archive of the Museum of Badalona, we have chosen photographs of built structures that were in use well into the 20th century (and, more specifically, well into the sixties) used to bring water and accumulate it for agricultural use.

Today, in occasion of the World Water Day, we invite you to discover them.
