Exhibition title: 50 YEARS. CAMÍ. SCULPTURES
Exhibition time: from July 12th to November 12th 2023
Place: Museu de Badalona

Schedule: from Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm and from 5 to 8 pm

Sunday and major fests from 10 am to 2 pm.

To celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of Camí’s dedication to sculpture, the Museum – together with the Sala Josep Uclés, of the Centre Cultural El Carme – presents an exhibition of his works with a chronology that goes from 1973 to 2014. In some cases, these works are shown accompanied by poems by authors who have regularly collaborated with the artist: J.M. Calleja, Coloma Lleal, Inés Narváez and Màrius Sampere.

The exhibition is presented in two areas. In the exhibition hall on the ground floor of the Museum, we will find a set of medium and small format pieces, as well as models of some works designed to be large outdoor public sculptures, some of which are projects that were not carried out.

In the Decumanus area, in the underground of the Museum, where the remains of part of the Roman city of Baetulo close to the forum are preserved, we will discover a much less conventional exhibition, in which Camí’s sculptures dialogue with the environment urban of more than 2,000 years. Architecture of the 1st century BC and sculpture of the 20th and 21st centuries; historical heritage and contemporary art contrast and complement each other to give us a unique and exceptional vision in which the pieces and the environment enrich each other.
