The exhibition includes a set of photographs from the Museum’s Image Archive, relating to the subject of transport on wheels, whether of animal traction, such as carts; human, such as bicycles, or mechanical, such as cars or the train.
The images, which span from the last years of the 19th century until the arrival of the subway line in Badalona in 1985, focus mainly on the 1950s and 1960s. You’ll see a huge variety of transports that appear there, with strong contrasts that are observed in certain periods and you’ll understand the evolution that they show so much of the city as of its inhabitants.
This exhibition will also bring an important novelty: it will be presented in two stages, as on March 25th, in occasion of the presentation of the book of the same title, most of the photographs will be replaced by others of the same subject. It will therefore be a lively and dynamic exhibition that must be visited more than once.
