Two pieces from Badalona at the exhibition The Naked Man

The  Museum of Badalona contributes to the exhibition The Naked Man. Stripping the archetypes of masculinity, that can be seen at the Cerdanyola Art Museum, from November 21st to April 5th, 2020, with two ceramic sculptures from the Roman city of Baetulo, which represent an hermaphrodit and the god Bacchus.

The exhibition undresses the man fleeing myths, ideas and stereotypes that, like in the case of women, have been imprisoning and conditioning men throughout history. He also wants to question the binary view of the genre, posing a very diverse concept of identities, from an equal position. This route through the male nude is done through the collections of the Museums of the Local Museums Network of the Diputació de Barcelona, who produces the exhibition.
