MAGNA CELEBRATIO – THE ROMAN FESTIVAL OF BADALONA
Every year, on the last weekend of April, the Badalona Museum organizes the Roman festival Magna Celebratio, with the aim of publicizing the city’s Roman heritage through Historical Reconstruction.
For three days, recreations of jobs and scenes of daily life, carried out by specialized groups, are combined with outreach activities, such as workshops or conferences, and visits to the different archaeological spaces of the Roman city of Baetulo, current Badalona.
PAST EDITIONS
The year 2005 in occasion of the 50th anniversary of the creation of the Museum of Badalona, we celebrated the I Magna Celebratio with the aim to claim and announce the Roman past of the city.
With the years, the festival has gone cementing giving a leadership to the historical reenactment and to the recreations of the daily life of our Roman ancestors.
